That was fast. It seems that on Flame Star, you really can just grab a notary at random off the street... Qiao Sang marveled inwardly, saying: "Let's head over now."

"Xun xun!"

Little Treasure floated over to his Beast Tamer's side, showing off his glittering, gold armor as he stood fully prepared to set out.

Suddenly recalling something, he took off his ring, intending to pull out his shield from within it.

The golden brilliance flashed so abruptly that Jacqueline and Fulu Tiantian were nearly blinded, simultaneously raising their hands to shield their eyes.

At that moment, Mikayla spoke up unhurriedly: "On Flame Star, battles between professional Beast Tamers and other humans or pets default to not using equipment or spiritual runes."

Hearing this, Qiao Sang said, "Little Treasure, take off all your equipment."

"Xun xun..."

Little Treasure put on a reluctant expression, but in the end, he obediently stripped off all the equipment on his body and placed it back into the ring.

Jacqueline shot Mikayla a glance, wanting to say something but stopping herself.

"Gang qiu."

Gangbao let out a cry and began leading the way.

The group followed close behind.

Upon reaching the first floor, they saw the Envoy of Ill Omen standing by the entrance, seemingly discussing something with a pet roughly three meters tall, predominantly brown, and appearing to be composed entirely of rock.

A Sharp Rock Golem, a High-level Ground-type pet. Known for its honest and good-natured personality, its body is nearly as hard as iron, and it can detect surrounding movements through sound... The details of the pet flashed through Qiao Sang's mind.

"Yan rui?"

The Sharp Rock Golem looked toward the three humans walking out of the shop, letting out an inquiring cry.

"Zhou e."

The Envoy of Ill Omen pointed toward Qiao Sang.

"Yan rui."

The Sharp Rock Golem walked over to Qiao Sang, pulling out a red certificate and handing it over.

Qiao Sang took it, flipped it open, and found that it was a C-rank notary certificate, complete with a photo of the Sharp Rock Golem attached to it.

Mikayla walked closer, cast a glance at the certificate, and said: "Normally, a C-rank notary cannot officiate a battle between King-rank pets, but as long as both parties have no objections, it's fine."

Notaries also had ranks. For matches between King-rank pets, at least a B-rank notary was required.

"I have no objections." Qiao Sang closed the certificate and handed it back to the Sharp Rock Golem.

"Zhou e."

The Envoy of Ill Omen let out a cry, indicating that it didn't mind either.

"Yan rui."

The Sharp Rock Golem tucked away its certificate, revealed a smile, pointed toward the left, and let out a cry before walking off in the direction it had indicated.

The Envoy of Ill Omen immediately followed.

Qiao Sang, the two professors, Yabao, and the rest followed tightly behind.

After a walk of roughly ten minutes, they arrived at a Beast Taming battle club in the city center.

The Sharp Rock Golem walked forward to commune with the front desk for a moment, then turned its head to look at Qiao Sang.

The Envoy of Ill Omen looked over as well.

"One battle is 288 Alliance Coins. Will you be scanning a code, swiping a card, or paying cash?" The receptionist at the front desk followed the gazes of the Sharp Rock Golem and the Envoy of Ill Omen, asking with a smile.

To think they charge based on a single match, and it's this expensive... While Qiao Sang complained internally, she turned her eyes toward Professor Jacqueline.

Jacqueline swiftly stepped forward to pay the fee.

"Please head inside for the fields." The receptionist pointed toward the inner corridor and said.

The Sharp Rock Golem seemed highly familiar with this place, without needing to ask for directions, it directly led the way upfront.

The group followed close behind.

"Why is the charging rate here calculated by the individual match?" Qiao Sang couldn't help but ask.

"Because there are many battles but limited fields." Mikayla explained.

"There are also battle fields that charge by the half-hour or hour. The match you are about to engage in with the Envoy of Ill Omen is a battle between King-rank pets. After a single battle, the field will suffer severe damage, so 288 Alliance Coins isn't actually that expensive."

Qiao Sang recalled the fields destroyed during the regional tournament and was instantly convinced.

"Then are there any free battle fields here?" Qiao Sang asked.

"Of course there are." Mikayla said.

"It's just that they are exceptionally hard to snatch."

Amidst their conversation, the Sharp Rock Golem pushed open a door.

What entered their sight was a vast, open-air training facility. The field was divided into several sections, and there were people battling in nearly every single spot.

There were even people standing or sitting around the edges watching the matches, looking very much like the preliminary stages of some small-scale battle tournament on Blue Star, the kind where all registered contestants engage in 1v1 battle matches simultaneously, with a referee recording next to each group.

"Yan rui."

The Sharp Rock Golem came to a halt at an unoccupied field, pulled out a whistle, and then nodded in the direction of Qiao Sang and the Envoy of Ill Omen.

The Envoy of Ill Omen floated to one side of the field.

Qiao Sang walked to the opposite side.

Mikayla and Jacqueline made their way to the rest benches at the edge of the field and sat down.

Jacqueline finally couldn't resist speaking up: "I recall that unless explicitly requested before a battle, there are no restrictions on equipment and spiritual runes. Why did you have that Night Ring King remove its equipment?"

"When have you ever seen a student from our Imperial Class have their pet wear equipment to battle?" Mikayla countered with a question.

Jacqueline fell silent for a moment, then asked again: "Can Student Qiao win?"

It wasn't that she doubted the caliber of the Imperial Class students, it was just that this Student Qiao looked entirely too young.

"Rest assured." Mikayla curled her lips upward.

"She can win."

Qiao Sang nodded toward Little Treasure.

Lttle Treasure put on a serious expression and floated to the front of his Beast Tamer.

"Zhou e."

The Envoy of Ill Omen sized Little Treasure up, then pressed the miniature shrinking bracelet it was wearing.

Promptly, its body began to expand slowly, only stopping completely once it reached a height of roughly eight meters.

Quite a few people around turned their gazes over. Even at a Beast Taming battle club where battles occurred every single day, pets of this size were still a rare sight.

The Envoy of Ill Omen cast its eyes downward, looking down at Little Treasure as if waiting for something.

The Sharp Rock Golem looked over as well, not immediately announcing the start of the match.

"Xun xun..."

Little Treasure couldn't stand this viewing angle, floating up to the exact same height as the Envoy of Ill Omen's head.

The Envoy of Ill Omen blanked out at first, then looked toward Little Treasure's two paws. Upon seeing that there was no miniature shrinking bracelet, it suddenly clutched its stomach and burst into roaring laughter: "Zhou e, zhou e, zhou e!"

"Xun xun..."

Little Treasure understood exactly what the other party was laughing at, and he couldn't help but puff out his cheeks in anger.

"Lei lei..."

Tingbao was awoken by the Envoy of Ill Omen's laughter, opening his eyes.

"We can begin." Qiao Sang said to the Sharp Rock Golem.

Looking at the two pets with their massive disparity in size, the Sharp Rock Golem also understood the situation. Suppressing the urge to laugh out loud, it raised the whistle and blew a sharp blast.

In that instant, Little Treasure vanished completely from the field.

Only then did the Envoy of Ill Omen stop its wild laughter, turning highly vigilant of its surroundings.

Although the opponent's size was small, the aura it felt from it was by no means weak.

Suddenly, the Envoy of Ill Omen seemed to perceive something and looked down.

There stood Little Treasure on the ground, tauntingly beckoning with his short claws.

Feeling provoked, the Envoy of Ill Omen's face turned unsightly. Extending its hand, it condensed a black Shadow Ball with a diameter of a full two meters and hurled it downward.

With a swift twitch of Little Treasure's claws.

The Envoy of Ill Omen's right hand, which had just unleashed the Shadow Ball, was suddenly controlled by a certain force to alter its trajectory, smashing the ball directly against its own head.
