Still too young, raising a flag way too early. Only if she runs into a pet even rarer than Tingbao in the future will she probably change her mind... Mikayla dropped the topic and turned to say: "I'm going out tomorrow, so arrange your own time."

Qiao Sang asked, "Where are you going, Teacher?"

"To Teacher Jacqueline's place." Mikayla replied.

"She can't resolve the issue with the pet that's currently bothering her all at once, so she asked me to head over."

Qiao Sang blanked out for a moment, asking curiously, "What kind of pet is it exactly? Even as an A-rank Breeder, she can't handle it and needs your help?"

"A high Breeder rank doesn't equate to high combat strength." Mikayla explained slowly.

"I didn't ask about the specific pet either, I'll only find out once I get there. She likely reached out to me simply because I happened to be the only colleague in the immediate vicinity."

Qiao Sang thought it over and said, "I'll tag along with you."

Mikayla looked over.

Qiao Sang stated with a completely straight face, "You are an S-rank Beast Tamer, after all. If there's any pet that requires action, I'm your student, just let me handle it."

She was simply too curious about what kind of pet an A-rank Breeder couldn't handle.

After all, her vice principal back home was an A-rank Breeder, and in her eyes back then, he had seemed practically omnipotent.

Mikayla was taken aback, seemingly not expecting Qiao Sang to say something like this. A warm current rushed through her heart, and she nodded: "Alright, you'll come with me tomorrow."

"Lei lei."

Just as they finished speaking, Tingbao crawled in from outside and let out a call toward Qiao Sang.

Qiao Sang froze for a second, looking left and right.

Where was the translator?

Translator!

"Gang qiu."

Right on cue, Gangbao turned into a streak of white light, flying into the living room to come to a halt before letting out a cry toward Tingbao.

The translator has arrived... Having a pet that can utilize the bond power is truly wonderful... Qiao Sang marveled internally.

"Lei lei."

Tingbao cast a glance at Gangbao and repeated his previous statement.

"Gang qiu."

Gangbao let out a cry, helping to translate.

He wants you to follow him outside.

Qiao Sang nodded and said "Alright," following behind Tingbao to the open-air training field.

Mikayla actively followed along.

"Lei lei!"

Tingbao arrived next to a boulder. Channeling his energy, streaks of yellow electrical arcs instantly surfaced across his body before converging into a thicker bolt that struck down directly at the boulder.

With a loud bang, the boulder shattered completely.

Having executed this, Tingbao looked over with his eyes sparkling brightly.

This is... Qiao Sang looked at the shattered rock and then at Tingbao, whose eyes seemed filled with anticipation. She pondered for a moment, seemingly putting the pieces together. Erecting a thumbs-up, she praised: "How impressive!"

"Lei lei!"

Tingbao suppressed the rising corners of his mouth, holding his head high and chest out as he let out a proud call.

"Gang qiu."

Gangbao fell silent for two seconds before letting out a cry to help translate.

He says he is completely ready to form a contract now.

Qiao Sang looked at Tingbao with a face full of surprise.

Tingbao looked back, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

"But I can't form a contract right now." Qiao Sang finally stated.

Tingbao's face instantly dropped, and he turned his body around, preparing to shuffle away.

"Because I don't have a new contract page yet, so I literally can't contract any pets." Qiao Sang quickly added.

Tingbao twisted his head back around, displaying a thoroughly puzzled expression as he called out: "Lei lei?"

"Gang qiu." Gangbao translated.

Qiao Sang immediately explained the relationship between the brain capacity, the Beast Codex, contract pages, and contracting pets.

"Lei lei..."

Tingbao listened with a half-understanding look.

"In short, I can only form a contract with you once my brain capacity breaks through and yields a new contract page." Qiao Sang summarized.

"Lei lei." Tingbao understood, his sense of crisis completely dissolving. Setting his mind at ease, he turned around and crawled toward where Lubao was located.

"Lu di?"

This time, Lubao didn't directly condense a block of ice for him, instead, she let out a call first.

"Lei lei." Tingbao nodded.

Only then did Lubao exhale a burst of frosty breath, condensing a fresh block of ice.

"Lei lei..."

Tingbao sprawled across the ice block, wearing a thoroughly comfortable expression.

Witnessing the entire sequence of events, Mikayla smiled and remarked, "It seems Tingbao only trained just now to showcase his strength to you so he could form a contract."

To think that little Tingbao would actually go through so much trouble for my sake... Qiao Sang felt a wave of emotion and said: "As expected, Tingbao is the one most suited for me. Everyone says Dragon-type pets are arrogant, but Tingbao isn't like that at all."

Mikayla inexplicably recalled her own Dragon-type pet, and her smile vanished.

---

The next morning.

Qiao Sang carried out a brief wash up, finished her breakfast, and was preparing to head out with Teacher Mikayla while cradling Yabao.

Tingbao crawled up onto her backpack, wanting to snuggle right next to Lubao.

Having received multiple energy feedbacks by now, Qiao Sang didn't feel much weight even while carrying both Lubao and Tingbao simultaneously, so she didn't object.

The moment Mikayla swung the door open, a familiar foul odor instantly rushed into their noses.

A violent gale whipped up.

Qingbao drifted high into the sky, looking down below with an unsightly expression.

"Yap yap!"

Cradled in his Beast Tamer's arms, Yabao displayed a thoroughly disgusted expression, covering his nose with his paws.

"Xun xun~"

Little Treasure materialized, pointing toward a rose-red bouquet sitting right beside the door as he let out a pleasantly surprised cry.

Qiao Sang followed his gaze and spotted a few rose-red flowers wrapped up in an exceptionally exquisite manner.

With that familiar stench and style, it was obvious at a glance that it had been delivered by the Meichouni next door.

"It seems Meichouni thinks highly of you, this is already the third day." Mikayla remarked with a smile.

Qiao Sang replied helplessly, "I still feel it's just trying to cultivate a purely friendly relationship between neighbors."

As she spoke, she picked up the bouquet and placed it onto the table in the entryway before firmly closing the front door.

---

Inside the city district.

Following the navigation, Mikayla and Qiao Sang navigated through a web-like maze of intersecting streets, arriving before a shop bearing a grand archway that read Myriad Beasts Burp.

"This is the place." Mikayla stated, lowering her phone.

"Fu lu!"

The moment the words left her mouth, Fulu Tiantian came rushing out to welcome them, letting out a cheerful cry.

"Where is your Beast Tamer?" Mikayla inquired.

"Fu lu."

Fulu Tiantian pointed inward, then executed a polite gesturing motion to invite them in. Leading the two and Yabao's group inside, they made their way up to a tightly shut room on the second floor.

"Fu lu." Fulu Tiantian knocked on the door.

After roughly three seconds, a blonde woman sporting a messy bird's-nest hairstyle and two massive dark circles around her eyes opened the door, her face looking thoroughly exhausted.

"You've arrived." Jacqueline greeted weakly, using a respectful honorific.

"How did you end up looking like this?" Mikayla asked, her brow creasing slightly.

"Please, come inside first." Jacqueline stepped aside to clear the way.

Qiao Sang and Mikayla stepped inside, finding a random spot to sit down.

"This must be your student."

Jacqueline looked toward Qiao Sang, forcing out a faint smile as she said, "I'm very sorry. I had some matters to attend to over the past few days, which is why I couldn't head over to help examine your pets."

"It's completely fine." Qiao Sang replied.

"What kind of pet is it?" Mikayla cut straight to the chase.

Jacqueline let out a heavy sigh and stated: "It's an Envoy of Ill Omen."
