"How daring! To actually crawl into Lubao's water tank!"

Qiao Sang's expression shifted slightly as she let out a startled cry, "Don't..."

She dashed forward, intending to scoop Tingbao away.

However, Tingbao was controlled by an invisible force and lifted away from the water tank before she could reach him.

"Lu di..." Lubao breathed a sigh of relief.

"Lei lei?"

Tingbao turned his head, looking toward Yabao whose eyes were glowing with a blue light.

"Yap yap."

Yabao placed Tingbao onto the ground, his eyes reverting to their original color, and shook his head at the little guy.

"Lei lei..."

Tingbao stared at Yabao for a couple of beats, then, catching him off guard, turned around and accelerated to crawl toward the water tank once again.

Yet after barely taking two steps, he was scooped up into someone's arms.

"Lubao doesn't like anyone else getting into her water tank." Qiao Sang stated, holding Tingbao.

"Lei lei..." Tingbao's tail drooped, and it was impossible to tell if he had actually processed her words.

"Lubao, make a block of ice for him." Qiao Sang requested, looking over at Lubao.

"Lu di." Lubao called out. Opening her mouth, she exhaled a blast of freezing energy.

The frosty air rapidly condensed, gathering into a block of ice roughly fifty centimeters in size.

"Lei lei!"

Tingbao's eyes flared with light. Slipping down from Qiao Sang's arms, he lay prostrate over the block of ice, which was barely any larger than his own body, and rubbed against it with all his might, completely unwilling to leave it.

"This little Tingbao is certainly easy to read." Mikayla laughed.

When certain pets were uncontracted, it was very difficult to comprehend the intentions and thoughts they wished to express.

"After all, I've kept him right by my side ever since he hatched." Qiao Sang stated, stepping over to sit on the sofa now that the crisis was averted.

Just as the words left her mouth, a knock sounded from the door.

Qingbao transformed into a breeze, drifting over to swing the door open.

Standing outside the door was a pet roughly one meter in size. Its entire body was a pale pink, featuring a small curl of fur right on top of its head. Its claw wore a white identity bracelet alongside a lightweight miniature bracelet, and it was further sporting a pair of rimless glasses.

Fulu Tiantian, a Normal-type King-tier pet. It possesses an exceptionally gentle temperament and dislikes battling, even if it gets bullied, it generally just has a good cry. It excels at healing-type skills, its heart is filled with love, and it is a pet that can only evolve through the power of bonds...

Information regarding the pet before her eyes surfaced within Qiao Sang's mind.

"Are you Jacquelyn's Fulu Tiantian?" Mikayla inquired.

"Fu lu." Fulu Tiantian stepped inside the room and thoughtfully closed the door behind it, nodding its head with a smile.

Its entire form exuded an aura of intellectual refinement.

I'm actually witnessing intellectual refinement on a pet... Qiao Sang couldn't resist remarking emotionally to herself.

"Where is Jacquelyn?" Mikayla asked.

"Fu lu." Fulu Tiantian pointed toward the phone on the table and let out a call.

Immediately following that, the phone vibrated once.

It was a new message.

Mikayla picked it up to glance over it, then put it down and spoke to Qiao Sang: "Professor Jacquelyn suddenly had something come up, so she had Fulu Tiantian come over to help retrieve the energy pellet recipe."

While they were on the starship, Flauda had already transmitted the energy pellet recipe for Tingbao.

Looks like it's a matter of preparing the energy pellets directly based on that recipe. I almost thought that upon arriving at Flame Star, I could have a breeder examine him one more time. After all, Tingbao has developed quite a bit over this past month and a half...

Qiao Sang felt inexplicably disappointed, preparing to tell Little Treasure to retrieve the recipe from his ring.

Right at that moment, however, Mikayla continued: "She also mentioned that Fulu Tiantian has already obtained a B-tier breeder certification, so it can help take another look at Tingbao's current condition."

A Fulu Tiantian holding a B-tier breeder certification? Qiao Sang looked completely dumbfounded.

A pet? Can a pet actually become a breeder? And a B-tier one at that?

"Fu lu." Fulu Tiantian nodded its head with a smile.

Seemingly knowing that she would be dazed, Mikayla stated, "On Flame Star, pets are fully capable of obtaining certifications related to breeders and raisers. Furthermore, because they are pets themselves, they can communicate far better with other pets. When taking examinations for certain certifications, it's actually easier for them than it is for humans."

"Yap yap..."

Yabao and Gangbao listened, completely dazed.

"Xun xun~"

Little Treasure floated right next to Fulu Tiantian, sizing it up with curiosity.

Holy crap, so pets can actually become breeders. If Little Treasure stays on Flame Star for the long term, there's no need to worry about him not being able to pass an exam to become a breeder... Qiao Sang's mind churned, inexplicably thinking of Little Treasure's intelligence.

Gangbao was technically smarter than Little Treasure in certain respects, but unfortunately, she was illiterate, making her road to becoming a breeder long and arduous.

"Gang Qiu..."

Sensing the internal roasting within her mind, Gangbao silently cast a glance toward her own Beast Tamer.

Qiao Sang similarly sensed Gangbao's thoughts and her body stitched slightly. However, she recovered quickly, putting on a front as though she hadn't sensed a thing as she spoke to Fulu Tiantian: "Since you are a B-tier breeder, you are naturally welcome to help examine him. I'll leave Tingbao in your hands."

"Fu lu."

Fulu Tiantian nodded, and then its gaze settled upon Tingbao, who was currently clutching the block of ice, as it walked over.

Clutching the block of ice, Tingbao tilted his head to look at it, remaining perfectly still.

"Fu lu."

Fulu Tiantian extended its claw to stroke Tingbao's head.

An invisible sound wave rippled across Tingbao's body along with its voice.

"Lei lei!"

The look in Tingbao's eyes as he watched it instantly shifted from unfamiliarity to affection.

"Fu lu."

Fulu Tiantian let out a call with a smile.

"Lei lei..."

Tingbao flashed a hesitant expression, but ultimately crawled down from the block of ice anyway.

Fulu Tiantian retrieved the examination equipment it carried on its person and began the check-up.

Affection Ripple, a pet executing this skill can cause the target to develop affection toward them for a short duration... Truly worthy of a B-tier breeder, it really is highly experienced, knowing to use this technique to secure Tingbao's cooperation... Qiao Sang remarked emotionally to herself, turning her head to ask:

"Little Treasure, how about you also take an exam to become a breeder?"

"Xun xun!"

Little Treasure blanked out for a moment before hurriedly shaking his head.

He absolutely didn't want to become any sort of breeder; that required studying to achieve, and he didn't want to study.

Little Treasure's entire form was filled with rejection.

Seeing this, Qiao Sang refrained from saying anything further.

She had only brought it up casually to begin with. Becoming a breeder required a massive investment of energy, and Little Treasure still had to follow her to participate in the Interstellar Cup. With his usual training schedule, he naturally wouldn't have that much time to study breeder-related knowledge.

Mikayla smiled and spoke up: "Speaking of which, there are actually quite a few schools for pets on Flame Star. If you occasionally have things to attend to and lack the time for training, you can let Yabao and the others stay at a school."

"Xun xun!"

The moment these words were uttered, Little Treasure felt as though his entire world was collapsing. Floating right beside his Beast Tamer, he tugged at her sleeve, violently shaking his head with tearful eyes.

He didn't want to go to school!

Qiao Sang cast a helpless look at Little Treasure and said: "Let's forget about going to school. Yabao and the others are usually quite self-disciplined during training. Furthermore, with you around, Professor, what need is there to visit any school?"

Most importantly, this was Flame Star. She didn't even know how long they would stay or where they would head next. If they were back on Blue Star and there was a similar pet school, she would actually be quite willing to have Little Treasure attend occasionally to learn a thing or two.

"Xun xun~" Little Treasure was oblivious to his Beast Tamer's true internal thoughts; he only knew that he didn't have to go to school. Wiping away his tears in an instant, he happily rubbed against his Beast Tamer's arm.

Gangbao silently turned her head away, finding the display somewhat unbearable to watch.

Mikayla felt internally amused, switching the topic as she spoke: "By now, your pets have basically all reached the King tier. A place like the Beast Center, with so many people and pets around, is no longer suitable for training. Tomorrow we'll head out to look for a house and change our living arrangements."

Qiao Sang blanked out for a moment: "Are we buying one directly?"

Mikayla shot a glance at her: "Renting."

True, even if we stay on Flame Star for a few years, renting a house is more cost-effective than buying one... Qiao Sang nodded her head: "Alright."

Amidst the conversation, Fulu Tiantian concluded its examination. It looked over, letting out a call: "Fu lu."

"Xun xun~"

Without waiting for Qiao Sang to ask, Little Treasure floated over, slipped off his ring, fished out the recipe Flauda had provided previously, and handed it over.

"Fu lu."

"Fu lu."

Fulu Tiantian read through it thoroughly, then raised its head to let out a call.

"Yap yap."

"Yap yap."

Yabao stepped in to help translate at the very first opportunity.

It says the recipe is perfect and doesn't require any modifications.

Saying this, Fulu Tiantian tucked the recipe away and let out a call: "Fu lu."

It would bring the recipe back to its own Beast Tamer. The preparation would take roughly five days to complete, at which point it would be delivered.

"Yap yap, yap yap."

Yabao helped translate.

"Then I'll have to trouble you." Qiao Sang stated.

"Fu lu." Fulu Tiantian let out a call with a smile, preparing to depart.

At this point, Mikayla spoke up to inquire: "What exactly happened with your Beast Tamer?"

No matter which planet they were on, whenever members of the Imperial Class required assistance, individuals from the Imperial Beast University would step forward to help at the very first opportunity. Unless there was an exceptionally critical matter, it was virtually impossible for a situation to arise where a pet was sent in their stead.

However, in her order of priorities, getting the matter of Tingbao's energy pellets settled was far more important. After all, judging by Qiao Sang's attitude, the likelihood of her contracting Tingbao was very high.

"Fu lu."

"Fu lu."

Fulu Tiantian looked toward Mikayla, a hesitant expression surfacing on its face, but it ultimately let out a couple of calls to reveal the truth.

"Yap yap."

"Yap yap."

Yabao translated in real time.

This guy says its Beast Tamer has recently been cornered by a wild pet that wants to enlist her help to prepare energy pellets. However, that wild pet can't provide the corresponding compensation, so its Beast Tamer refused. Despite that, the wild pet has been constantly pestering her. She didn't want the wild pet to follow her over and disturb us, so she dispatched Fulu Tiantian instead.

To think that two short calls of 'fu lu' could actually pack in so much meaning... Qiao Sang remarking emotionally to herself, speaking up: "Since that wild pet is so annoying, why not just prepare the energy pellets for it, or give it a beating to drive it away?"

"Fu lu..."

Fulu Tiantian let out a sigh.

They can't beat it.

"Yap yap."

Yabao translated.

"Then she might as well just help it prepare the energy pellets." Qiao Sang said.

"It's not that simple." Mikayla spoke slowly.

"Jacquelyn is an A-tier breeder, a pet that proactively seeks her out won't be simple. If it could be driven away, she would have driven it away long ago. Helping it prepare energy pellets is even more out of the question. On Flame Star, information channels among wild pets are exceptionally well-informed. If she sets this precedent, even more wild pets will seek her out."

"There was once a breeder who out of kindness prepared energy pellets for a wild pet for free. Later on, wild pets showed up at his door every single day wanting free preparations, causing him endless disturbance."

"Back when I was on Flame Star previously, I also heard of a Beast Tamer who won a certain battle tournament. Quite a few pets wanted to contract with him. He once rejected a Poison-type pet, stating that he wasn't considering contracting Poison-type pets. The news spread like wildfire among the wild pets, and as a result, whenever he went out later on, he was challenged by wild Poison-type pets every single day."

"Fu lu."

Fulu Tiantian nodded its head in deep agreement, indicating that this was exactly the case.

To think that even a single sentence could travel so fast, these wild pets are certainly united enough... Qiao Sang vented internally, looking toward Professor Mikayla to see how she would handle it.

However, Mikayla refrained from speaking further.

"Fu lu." Fulu Tiantian let out a call, indicating that it was time for it to leave.

"Yap yap." Yabao translated.

Mikayla nodded slightly.

Fulu Tiantian closed the door and departed.

"Are we not going to help that professor?" Qiao Sang asked.

Mikayla looked over, looking somewhat surprised: "Why should I help her? It's not some major crisis, it's merely a single wild pet. Jacquelyn is a professor of our Imperial Beast University after all, she can handle it."

That's true. What a pity, though, I originally wanted to see what kind of wild pet could corner an A-tier breeder to the point where she couldn't leave... Qiao Sang felt a trace of regret. Glancing over, she spotted Tingbao back prostrate over the block of ice at some unknown point.

"Go to sleep early tonight, we'll head out to look at houses tomorrow." Mikayla stated as she rose to her feet.

"Understood." Qiao Sang said.

---

The following day.

10:00 AM.

Guided by their navigation, Qiao Sang and Mikayla arrived before a villa.

The area was shrouded in dense fog, with wisps of vapor as light as gauze drifting slowly around the perimeter of the villa.

"Professor, is it this one?" Qiao Sang inquired.

This morning, Professor Mikayla had searched for quite a few houses currently up for rent on the platform, and this location was the third stop.

"Correct." Mikayla stated.

Qiao Sang glanced at the clearly visible buildings flanking the property, asking further: "Why is there so much fog specifically around this place?"

"The resident living here is a Zhedaguai." Mikayla explained.

"This species of pet prefers to reside in foggy areas year-round. Even if there is no fog, she will frequently exhale vapor to cover the area, creating an air of mystery. Even when appearing before humans, she will ensure that she remains surrounded by..."

As she spoke, a silhouette roughly one meter in size faintly manifested within the fog.

Suddenly, a violent gust of wind kicked up, causing the fog to instantly shudder and disperse.

The visibility spiked in a split second, and everything before their eyes became crystal clear.

The silhouette measuring roughly one meter in size stood fully exposed.

Its entire body was predominantly blue, featuring rather sparse fur. She was wearing a pair of boxers, and she was currently using her claws to pull back at the boxers that had gotten wedged between her buttocks.

Maintaining her pulling posture, the pet before their eyes stared over, completely dazed.

"Zheda!"

The shorts-wearing pet looked as though she had received a massive fright. Abruptly letting out a shriek, she turned around and sprinted right back into the villa.

The moment the main door slammed shut, billows of fog surged out from the door seams, enveloping the entire villa once more.

"Qing qing?"

Qingbao manifested, looking entirely puzzled.

Mikayla fell silent for a couple of seconds before resuming her previous sentence: "...Ensure that she remains surrounded by fog, as she dislikes being viewed directly by others."

Qiao Sang looked toward Qingbao.

"Qing qing~" Qingbao looked toward her own Beast Tamer, flashing an innocent expression.

Just then, Mikayla's phone vibrated once.

She pulled it out to glance over it, then put it down, stating flatly: "The Zhedaguai has rejected the rental application and told us to head back."

Qiao Sang: ...
