The pet before them stood about 80 centimeters tall, possessing a sky-blue body. It had cyan, curled ears on both sides of its head, with a ring of white clouds connecting the ears to the base of its skull.

The Qinyin Fairy is the High-level form of Breezewing Nini. They love to fly by turning into wind, hiding within it so that they are rarely seen by others.

The experts researching legendary pets had sent not just resources but also records on this species. Qiao Sang had studied them diligently and memorized the names of the entire evolution chain.

"It sounds quite nice." Ye Xiangting praised, stroking the white clouds on Qingbao’s lower body.

"Qing qing~"

Qingbao narrowed her eyes, responding to the praise.

She seems to be in a great mood... Feeling the pleasant evening breeze, Qiao Sang noted that Qingbao’s patience had improved significantly. If her mom had petted her this long in the past, she likely would have vanished into wind long ago.

"By the time the people from the Imperial Beast University get here and develop energy pills, it’ll take quite a while." Liu Yao said, putting away his equipment. 

"I happen to have some energy pills suitable for general High-level Fairy-type pets. They should be better than the ones she ate at the Mid-level stage. Want to use them as a transition for Qingbao?"

Liu Yao smiled. "Then I’ll bring them to you tomorrow."

Qingbao understood and gave Liu Yao a sweet smile. Liu Yao was momentarily stunned, then reached out with a laugh to pat Qingbao’s head. She didn't refuse.

At that, Yu Ke felt like her heart stopped for a second. She reached out with a trembling hand to pet Qingbao. The moment she made contact, a single thought flashed through her mind: Life is worth living.

"I! I want to pet her too!" Seeing Yu Ke succeed, Yu Le rushed forward impatiently. Qingbao didn't refuse her either.

The group surrounded Qingbao, touching her clouds, her paws, and her head, almost petting her from top to bottom.

"Qing qing..."

Qingbao was in a great mood due to the evolution and smiled sweetly at first, but eventually, her smile became a bit strained. Even so, she didn't vanish into wind as she usually did.

Beside him, the Sky Bat flapped its wings, its eyes glowing blue. In the next second, it vanished along with Liu Yao.

Yu Ke affirmed, "A raise! It must be a raise!"

"Hu ji." The tiger’s expression remained calm as it waved its paw, indicating it wasn't necessary. As a qualified housekeeper, bringing joy to the employer was part of the job; no extra pay required.

Little Treasure had already forgotten about Qingbao being bigger than him and began practicing his Barrier, wanting to earn more applause in the matches.

Qiao Sang stared at Qingbao’s two new characteristics in silence. Moody and Overconfidence. One was S-grade and one was A-grade, but they both felt like they didn't fit Qingbao at all.

Previously, when Qingbao awakened two S-grade characteristics at once, Qiao Sang’s tolerance had increased, so she wasn't particularly shocked. 

Moody made sense if she thought about it, even if Qingbao could control her face, her mood affected the surrounding wind. But Overconfidence... she concluded that characteristic awakening was quite random and wasn't entirely tied to the species traits or personality.

She analyzed Overconfidence. While it increases attack, it only works after defeating an opponent. Since most of her matches were 1v1, it wouldn't be very useful in the tournament, though it might be good in secret realms or wild group fights.

Qiao Sang’s eyes drifted to the three new skills. Flatter? Hmm? Flatter? Qiao Sang was confused. Flatter is a mid-tier Dark-type move that confuses the opponent but raises their Special Attack. What kind of decent pet awakens this! She isn't even Dark-type!

This is a great skill! She could turn a disadvantage into an advantage! However, she had to be careful, if the opponent's power was too high, using their skills might drain her energy immediately.

The last one was Dazzling Gleam (High-tier Fairy-type). Finally, a skill that actually matches her attribute... Qiao Sang felt a relief. Tomorrow, she would have Qingbao get familiar with the new skills, it would add more offensive options. With Power Swap available, Qingbao wouldn't necessarily lose even if she faced a powerful opponent.

Qiao Sang exited the Beast Codex, saw Little Treasure practicing his Barrier, and closed her eyes to sleep.

Qiao Sang was awakened by the urgent ringing of her phone. She fumbled toward the sound, picked up the phone, and opened her eyes to look. The screen showed the caller was Yu Ke.

Qiao Sang answered: "What's wrong? Why are you calling me so early?"

Yu Ke's voice was frantic: "Something's happened!"

Qiao Sang was instantly wide awake: "Is your training ground no longer available?"

"No! It's the news that Breezewing Nini evolved into a Qinyin Fairy! It's been leaked by the paparazzi!" Yu Ke said. 

"It's even trending on the hot searches!"

Qiao Sang: ???
