In a flash, a deafening BOOM echoed as the white beam slammed into the arena. The ground splintered, sending debris flying. Centered on the white beam, the earth collapsed into a massive crater nearly a hundred meters in diameter. Dust swirled, momentarily obscuring the scene.

It worked... Qi Fuqing felt a surge of joy.

The Divine Blazing Lion had Teleport and incredible reflexes, making a frontal attack nearly impossible. The only viable way to strike was to counter-attack at the exact moment he teleported in to use Fire Fang. Everything had gone exactly as she predicted.

Inside the crater, the dust had cleared slightly. The audience could vaguely see a heavily injured Yabao, his expression ferocious, still biting down ruthlessly on the Sparrow King’s wing!

The Sparrow King endured the pain and beat its wings, turning into a white blur as it shot upward. The streak of fire reached the bird's original position, then made a 90-degree turn, chasing the white light into the sky.

"Ao-bao..." The Sparrow King’s speed slowed. The severe injury to its wing finally took its toll. That split second was all Yabao needed to slam into the bird with full force.

The Sparrow King screamed as it was knocked even higher before starting to plummet. Yabao hovered in the high air, opening his mouth as golden-red energy condensed once more.

Qi Fuqing’s pupils shrank. "Substitute!"

The beam struck the Sparrow King, blasting it into the ground. Another explosion ripped through the arena, but Yabao suddenly turned his head. The Sparrow King on the ground was gone, the real one had appeared a hundred meters away.

Substitute... Qiao Sang recognized it instantly. It was a great defensive move, but it cost a quarter of the user's energy. Now was the time to press the attack.

Qiao Sang raised her hand and snapped her fingers.

It's using Meteor Rain! Qi Fuqing recognized the signature command. Her eyes sharpened as she decided to strike first. "Storm!"

She calculated that if the Divine Blazing Lion stayed at a distance to launch energy orbs, her storm would disrupt the skill even if he teleported.

The audience was in an uproar.

"Radiant Impact? Does that move require taking the opponent up?"

"The Divine Blazing Lion has carried the Sparrow King to the high heavens!" Tian Yiwan exclaimed. "This is... Radiant Impact!"

As expected, she thought the snap meant Meteor Rain and wasted a Storm... Qiao Sang felt quite proud of her tactical shift. If her commands stayed the same every match, she’d be read like a book.

"Ao-bao!" The bird screamed in pain, scorched by the golden flames. Yabao reached the apex and began a vertical descent at a terrifying speed.

The Sparrow King tried to fight back, attempting to bite Yabao with an electric-charged Thunder Fang. But Yabao’s eyes glowed blue.

The bird felt its body become heavy, as if a giant hand was dragging it down. Before it could react, the Sun descended. The golden sphere of light slammed into it.

BOOM!!!

The ground collapsed as the Sparrow King was driven deep into the earth. The shockwave shattered the arena floor, and golden flames flickered amidst the warped air.

When the flames died down, Yabao stood alone. Beside him, the Sparrow King lay charred and unconscious.

"The Aggro-Bust Sparrow King is down!" Tian Yiwan shouted. 

"It seems no pet of the same rank can withstand the Divine Blazing Lion's Radiant Impact! Is Qiao Sang about to win the second match?"

The referee waved the green flag. Yabao puffed out his chest, greeting the cheers with the posture of a victor, even though his flame wings were at half-strength.

"Qiao Sang! Qiao Sang!"

"Divine Blazing Lion! Divine Blazing Lion!"

"Damn, that was cool! I knew she'd make the Top 8!"

"How did the bird fall at the last second? Why didn't it fly away?"

"The Divine Blazing Lion has Psychic powers. He probably used Psychic or Gravity to pin it down."

"Let us congratulate Qiao Sang on winning the second match!" Tang Xueran announced.

"I feel we can congratulate her on the whole set early." Tian Yiwan added. But just then, Qiao Sang recalled Yabao.
