Little Treasure called out in a low voice. There was no movement inside the room. After a moment of thought, he phased through the door and floated toward the adjacent room.

"Qing qing?"

After floating a few meters down the hallway, Qingbao's voice came from nearby. Little Treasure turned to see Qingbao appear out of thin air in a spot that had been empty a second ago.

"Xun xun?"

Little Treasure called out with the worried tone of a little adult, asking where she had been. He hadn't forgotten how crazy the humans in the Central Hollow region were for the fifth member of their team he was terrified she might get snatched if she weren't careful. 

He had just watched a movie two days ago about a popular pet that got chased everywhere, he was just glad he wasn't that popular yet.

"Qing qing."

Qingbao pointed to a room not far away. She explained that new humans had moved in, and she went to check if they were targeting their Beast Master.

"Xun xun?" Little Treasure’s expression instantly became serious. Are they?

"Qing qing."

Qingbao shook the head. Probably not, the two humans were just playing video games and hadn't done anything toward their room.

"Xun xun~" Little Treasure relaxed and signaled. Then let's go back.

"Qing qing."

Qingbao signaled for him to go back while she continued to inspect the other rooms. With that, she turned into a gust of wind and vanished. Stunned for a moment, Little Treasure sensed the direction she went and quickly followed.

"Qing qing?"

After a few meters, Qingbao reappeared. She stared at Little Treasure and asked with confusion why he wasn't going back.

"Xun xun~" Little Treasure grinned. I’ll stay with you.

Qingbao stared at him for a few seconds, then gave a sweet smile and continued her patrol. This time, she didn't transform into wind.

The two tiny figures floated into one room after another. Their expressions shifted from serious to "what are they doing?" and finally to "let's watch a bit of TV here, they can't see us anyway." Their excitement grew, every room they entered felt like opening a mystery box.

Once they had visited every single room in the Beast Center’s accommodation area, Qingbao looked unsatisfied. She gazed at a brightly lit hotel in the distance and suddenly chirped: "Qing qing."

Let's check there too. It’s close, maybe there are humans there watching our Beast Master’s room.

"Xun xun!" Little Treasure nodded vigorously. Good idea!

Meanwhile, at that brightly lit hotel. 26th Floor.

A black rabbit-like pet had its ears perked up outside the window, aimed directly at the same floor across the street, listening to the movements in the distance.

"Can a Lie-Ear Rabbit really hear that far?" A black-haired man with heavy dark circles under his eyes asked skeptically.

"Don't worry, I found this one out of thousands. Its Thousand-Mile Ear trait has reached B-rank. It can definitely hear at this distance; it just needs to filter the noise." The veteran paparazzi answered while peering through binoculars. He put them down a moment later, revealing an identical pair of dark circles.

"The lights in Qiao Sang's room are out. Looks like she's asleep." The paparazzi said. 

"The Steel Sword Falcon is standing by the window, but its eyes are closed. Probably asleep too." He sighed. 

"I didn't expect the sleeping habits of a Steel Sword Falcon to be like this." He picked up a notebook and pen to record the detail.

The black-haired man stared at the dark, peaceful room in the distance and asked hollowly, "Has Qiao Sang not encountered any of those weird winds during her stay?"

The paparazzi’s face instantly soured, clearly remembering the past few mentally exhausting nights, but he analyzed rationally: "Qinyin Fairy is a child of the wind. Even if a strange wind appears in the room, she’d settle it quickly."

"It feels like she sleeps soundly every night without any mental attacks." The black-haired man said with a hint of resentment, suspecting he was suffering in her stead.

The paparazzi glanced at him. "Didn't you see her strength in today's match? Even if someone tried something, it was likely handled before it reached her."

The man's resentment vanished, replaced by awe. "How can someone's talent be this high? Coach Tao from the National Bureau was definitely here for her. She left the moment Qiao Sang’s match ended."

The paparazzi added, "Why else would I ignore everyone else just to camp her? Qiao Sang is the biggest topic in this Regional League. If she’s scouted by the National Bureau, the value of our future leaks will skyrocket."

The black-haired man smiled and was about to speak. Suddenly, a violent gale erupted inside the room.

Before he could react, he was slammed against the wall with a loud bang. A sharp pain shot through his back as he fell to the floor. He looked up at the objects flying around the room, completely bewildered.

"Lie-ear!" The rabbit was blown right out the window. However, a second later, an unknown force pulled it back inside.

The paparazzi was also caught off guard and slammed against the wall. He stared at the sudden storm, his mind racing. Is the illusion we caught at the Beast Center still not fully cured?

The two didn't dare stay. They scrambled to their feet and fled the room.

The wind died down. Objects fell. Little Treasure and Qingbao revealed themselves.

"Xun xun!" Little Treasure exclaimed. He hadn't expected the humans who appeared at the Beast Center to move here to monitor his Beast Master. He gave Qingbao an admiring look. Good thing you thought to check here.

"Qing qing." Qingbao gave a shy expression, as if to say it was just a precaution.

"Xun xun..." Little Treasure remembered a scene in another room earlier where Qingbao had suddenly blown a gust of wind when she saw two humans kissing, blowing off one person's hairpiece. He felt a flicker of suspicion. But looking at the current scene and Qingbao’s shy face, his doubts vanished.

He had thought the fifth child was just following him for fun, but it turned out she was genuinely hunting down anyone who wished their Beast Master ill.

Qingbao looked at the scattered items on the floor. Before she could look worried, Little Treasure’s eyes glowed blue, telekinetically returning everything to its original place.

"Qing qing~" Qingbao blinked at him, then her eyes curved into a smile.

The next day, 7:30 AM.

Qiao Sang woke up naturally. After a quick wash, she glanced at the sleeping Yabao and Qingbao, then sat cross-legged on the bed to meditate. Morning meditation not only expands the brain domain but also clears the mind.

Suddenly, there were two knocks on the window.

Gangbao looked at the mechanical bird pet outside, it was about the same size as Little Treasure, and turned to look at her Beast Master for permission. Qiao Sang sensed her thought, opened her eyes, and said: "Let it in."

Gangbao opened the window. The mechanical bird hopped onto the table next to the window. Without a word, its black eyes glowed with blue light. A virtual screen appeared, revealing a person’s silhouette.

With her photographic memory, Qiao Sang recognized her instantly: Coach Tao from the National Bureau.

"Hello, Qiao Sang. I am Tao Yunkai." The woman on the screen said. 

"I am from the National Bureau and currently serve as the coach for the Dragon Country Imperial Beast Battle Team. If you are interested in joining the National Bureau, I will be waiting for you at 6:00 PM tonight in the Heavenly King Suite of the Heavenly King Hotel."

The screen vanished. The mechanical bird flapped its wings and flew out the window without looking back. Gangbao silently closed the window.

Entering the National Bureau... Qiao Sang was stunned, though not exactly overwhelmed. Between the Imperial Imperial Beast University seeking her out and the deans at the University of United Region trying to poach her, she had become quite calm about visits from high-level figures.

Still, her heart inevitably raced. The National Bureau carried immense significance for Dragon Country. It gathered the strongest individuals in the nation to compete in international and interstellar events, including the Interstellar Cup. 

To participate in the Interstellar Cup, one must first win a spot in the World-Asia Imperial Beast League, a step that stops countless professional Beast Masters. Joining the Dragon Country Battle Team is the essential path to that support.

I'm finally coming into contact with the National Bureau... Qiao Sang took a deep breath, calmed her heart, and called Teacher Mikayla.

"Hello." Mikayla's voice came through.

Qiao Sang got straight to the point: "Someone from the National Bureau just came to see me."

Mikayla was silent for a second. "Where are you now?"

"In my room at the Beast Center."

"Wait for me." Mikayla hung up.

A second later, Mikayla appeared in front of Qiao Sang wearing a silk camisole nightgown. "You said someone from the National Bureau sought you out?"

Qiao Sang nodded. "Coach Tao Yunkai, the one at the Regional League."

Mikayla thought for a moment. "What does she want?"

"She said if I want to join the National Bureau, I should meet her at the Heavenly King Hotel at 6:00 PM."

As a student of the Imperial Imperial Beast University, a status that would last decades, Qiao Sang knew any training schedule with the National Bureau might conflict with Mikayla’s plans. She had to speak up.

Mikayla didn't hesitate. "Go see her tonight." 

She paused. "But I'm going with you."

Qiao Sang tested the waters: "To talk about joining the National Bureau?"

Mikayla smiled. 

"I know what you're worried about. It's a good thing your country recognized your talent so quickly. Our school respects any student representing their nation. Besides, you represent the Imperial Imperial Beast University as well. If you make it to the Interstellar Cup, you represent the entire Blue Star."

Qiao Sang couldn't help but smile. She really hadn't chosen the wrong school.

Gangbao silently glanced at her Beast Master, thinking: Didn't you think the recruiters from the University were scammers at first and didn't believe you could get in? 

Qiao Sang sensed something and looked at Gangbao. Gangbao silently looked away.

6:00 PM. Heavenly King Hotel. Heavenly King Suite.

In a classically decorated Chinese-style suite, a woman with dark hair and fine lines at the corners of her eyes sat quietly drinking tea. She looked to be in her forties, dressed in casual clothes, appearing very relaxed.

Such a big suite for just a few people, what a waste... Qiao Sang thought as she walked in.

Tao Yunkai turned, saw Mikayla beside Qiao Sang, and didn't seem surprised. She stood up with a smile. "You've arrived."

"Hello, Coach Tao." Qiao Sang greeted.

Tao Yunkai looked Qiao Sang over with appreciation. "Good, good! Please, sit."

"Hello, I am Mikayla, Qiao Sang's mentor." Mikayla reached out a hand.

Tao Yunkai shook it. "I am Tao Yunkai."

The three sat down. Pets in uniforms soon served the dishes.

"I'll be direct." Mikayla said. 

"Do you want Qiao Sang to join the National Bureau?"

"Correct." Tao Yunkai looked at Qiao Sang. 

"She is the most talented Beast Master I have ever seen."

Qiao Sang feigned a shy smile.

Tao Yunkai asked clearly, "Do you want to join the National Bureau? More specifically, the Dragon Country Imperial Beast Battle Team."

Qiao Sang nodded immediately. "I do!" 

No Beast Master would refuse the national team, just as no one would refuse the Interstellar Cup.

"Good!" 

Even though she knew no one would refuse, Tao Yunkai couldn't hide her joy. As she was about to continue, Mikayla spoke: "Qiao Sang is currently a student at the Imperial Imperial Beast University. We are responsible for her daily training. I do not want her to undergo closed-door training. We will also evaluate which tournaments she enters, and I will let her participate when it is time to compete."

Tao Yunkai looked at her. "There is no better growth than joining the national team and competing in top-tier professional matches."

Mikayla said nothing. She knew those matches well, with Qiao Sang’s current strength, she would only be a benchwarmer or a backup.

Tao Yunkai took a step back. "What do you mean by 'when it is time to compete'?"

"When she becomes an A-rank Beast Master." Mikayla said.
