"Gang Zhan." With a powerful flap of her wings, Gangbao flew upward, charging toward the hole in the ceiling and out of the underground area.

"Xun xun..." Little Treasure stared up at the piercing light, looking completely dazed.

Evolved? Big Bro Yabao evolved? His beast master actually didn't lie to him!

"Xun xun!" Seeing his subordinates flying out with their beast master, Little Treasure finally snapped out of it and cried out in a hurry. Wait for me! With that, he teleported outside

Underground, all the nearby Fire-type pets had been frightened away by the previous commotion. Only Guo Ruiqi and Xu Gehong (Mikayla) remained, staring up at the blinding light of evolution in shock.

After a few seconds, Guo Ruiqi asked blankly, "Is that Yabao?"

The black-red flames from before were too iconic. Even if he couldn't see the silhouette within, he could guess it was Yabao, who had been burning with those same flames recently. Coupled with Qiao Sang’s reaction, it was obvious.

Still, Guo Ruiqi felt a bit uncertain. After all, Yabao had been in intense pain lately, requiring treatment from Lubao every hour. In his memory, no pet’s evolution was ever this painful.

Mikayla didn't answer. She stared at the light of evolution, her expression stunned, while a storm raged in her mind. Unlike Guo Ruiqi, she knew more about Qiao Sang’s background and understood that Fire Qilu was a brand-new form with an unknown evolutionary path.

So, the path to evolution was actually the Molten Flame Seed!

She had thought that if Fire Qilu could endure the pain, the Molten Flame Seed might help his internal energy reach its limit. She never expected it would trigger an immediate evolution!

As she thought this, the magma suddenly began to shake violently. Mikayla’s expression shifted. Pulling her thoughts together, she flipped onto the back of her Sleep Bird, grabbing Guo Ruiqi along with her, and shouted, "Go!"

Before the Sleep Bird could even flap its wings, a pair of blue eyes appeared out of thin air. In the next second, the group appeared next to Gangbao.

High in the sky, the blinding white light shone brilliantly, and the silhouette within began to shift slowly.

"Senior Qiao, is Yabao evolving?" Guo Ruiqi asked again since Mikayla hadn't answered earlier.

Qiao Sang nodded with a joyful "Mhm. That's right."

"That’s wonderful!" Hearing the confirmation, Guo Ruiqi became instantly excited. In his view, Yabao’s evolution meant Senior Qiao was getting stronger, which meant they would be safer in the secret realm and might find his Lele Seed faster.

At that moment, Mikayla said in a deep voice, "Be careful. There’s movement in the magma. It looks like the Molten Armored Dragons are heading this way."

I almost forgot about them... Qiao Sang’s heart tightened, her joy fading into focus. She turned to Mikayla and said seriously, "Could you please have your Hidden Shield use Spatial Concealment around us?"

This was a critical moment for Yabao’s evolution, he couldn't be disturbed.

"Alright." Mikayla nodded toward the air beside her. Any evolution of Qiao Sang’s pets was of utmost importance, and Fire Qilu’s evolution must not be interrupted. Even if Qiao Sang hadn't asked, she wouldn't have allowed the Molten Armored Dragons to interfere.

"Stealth." The Hidden  Shield let out a cry, and a transparent barrier quickly spread out, enveloping the group and the light of evolution in the sky.

Despite this, Mikayla was still uneasy. There were two Molten Armored Dragons in the lava. If both appeared, she could subdue them instantly, but doing so would inevitably blow her cover. She glanced at the air downward. Though no words were spoken, their century of rapport held, her Spengami immediately vanished from the spot.

Minutes passed. The light of evolution did not fade, and the Molten Armored Dragons had yet to appear.

"The Molten Armored Dragons haven't come out. Do they not know we're here?" Guo Ruiqi asked.

Qiao Sang thought for a moment and said, "Perhaps since our auras vanished, they lost their direction." 

Guo Ruiqi agreed and sighed in relief, he didn't want to deal with them again. Mikayla remained silent, keeping her contribution a secret.

The sun grew hotter in the sky. Why is the evolution taking so long... Qiao Sang began to look worried.

In front of her, Qingbao nudged Lubao. This drew Qiao Sang’s attention, and she suddenly remembered that when Qingbao used the SSS-rank Fairy Heart, she also took a long time to evolve.

The energy in the Molten Flame Seed was simply too massive. Even with the evolution, Yabao likely still had a vast amount of energy to process, leading to this prolonged state. After another half-minute, seeing that the Molten Armored Dragons still hadn't emerged, Qiao Sang turned to Xu Gehong.

"Keep an eye out for the Molten Armored Dragons for me. I’m going to sense Yabao’s status."

"Don't worry about the dragons, they won't be coming out..." Mikayla nodded. 

"Go ahead."

Qiao Sang closed her eyes and entered her Beast Codex, quickly flipping to Yabao’s page. The entire contract page was flashing with brilliant white light. The numerical value after his level was at maximum.

This didn't surprise her. Although she had been focused on his treatment lately, she had checked the manual occasionally.

Ever since Yabao absorbed the Molten Flame Seed, the numerical value after his level had been skyrocketing, though it would quickly drop back down before surging again. Through this repeated cycle, his stats showed a clear and significant improvement.

The Everstone around his neck had completely charred and broken the first time Yabao was engulfed in black-red flames. At that time, she was too worried about whether he could endure it to notice. 

Later, during brief windows of safety, she had placed two more Everstones on him, but without exception, they were destroyed the moment the black-red flames erupted.

Fortunately, Yabao’s level continued to surge intermittently without triggering an evolution. She realized that with her Golden Finger, the energy would surely have to reach its maximum value before Yabao would evolve.

Because of this, it was difficult to tell whether he was evolving because his energy was capped or because the Molten Flame Seed was the specific requirement.

As these thoughts flashed, the name column erupted in blinding white light. When it faded, the name Fire Qilu had changed to Blazing Divine Lion.

It didn't stop there. After breaking the million-point mark, the numbers continued to surge upward.

Qiao Sang’s heart leaped. Her consciousness returned to reality, and she looked up. The brilliant light remained, but the silhouette within had grown to over ten meters in size.

"So it takes this long for a General-level pet to evolve into a King-level pet..." Guo Ruiqi murmured. He didn't know Yabao’s details and was judging by size alone.

Just as he spoke, the white light in the sky suddenly vanished. Standing before them was a beast roughly fifteen meters tall. He possessed a magnificent coat of crimson fur interspersed with intricate black patterns. 

Around his neck grew a mane of golden-red fluff that looked like flickering flames, and sharp, formidable fangs were exposed. His massive flaming wings were as dazzling as sunlight, and his fluffy long tail ended in golden-red tufts. His powerful limbs stood atop paws burning with golden-red fire.

The world fell silent.

Damn, that is way too cool... Guo Ruiqi cursed inwardly, shielding his eyes.

So this is the evolved form of Fire Qilu... Even Mikayla felt a stir of excitement.

"Xun xun..." Little Treasure opened his mouth wide in envy.

"Lu Di..." Lubao looked impressed but quickly regained her composure.

"Gang Zhan..." Gangbao breathed a sigh of relief.

"Qing qing!" Qingbao turned into a joyful breeze.

Blazing Divine Lion... Qiao Sang whispered the new name in her heart.

"Yap yap!" Yabao let out an excited roar, his powerful aura spreading across the landscape. Because of the spatial barrier, it didn't alert any nearby wild pets.

Yabao looked down and appeared in front of his beast master. 

"Yap!"

He skidded to a stop, realizing his massive size, and barked at Little Treasure. Little Treasure quickly pulled a lightweight miniature bracelet out of his ring. Yabao took it, shrank down, and finally pounced onto Qiao Sang.

"Congratulations on evolving." Qiao Sang smiled, stroking his head.

"Yap yap!" Yabao rubbed against her hand. He then turned serious and barked at Little Treasure for a mirror.

"Xun xun~" Little Treasure held up a mirror. Yabao checked his teeth and his fur, making sure he wasn't bald.

"Yap yap!" Finding everything perfect, he cried out, his wings flaring out. Qiao Sang touched them, finding them comfortable and smelling of sunshine.

"Since Yabao is fine now, let’s go." Qiao Sang said.

"Yap yap!" Yabao stood up on Gangbao’s back and barked toward the hole, wanting to beat up the annoying guy from earlier.

"Xun xun!" Little Treasure agreed.

"We've wasted too much time. We still haven't found the Lele Seeds." Qiao Sang reminded them. Yabao’s tail drooped as he agreed to leave. Little Treasure followed suit.

"Let’s move." Qiao Sang said. Mikayla withdrew the barrier. Little Treasure’s eyes glowed blue. As they teleported, Qiao Sang realized the scene matched her prediction exactly, even the hole in the ground that Yabao had created himself.

As they vanished, the barrier in the magma below disappeared.

"Molten!"

"Molten!"

Two Molten Armored Dragons erupted from the lava, letting out furious roars.

In the forest, Little Treasure kept eyeing Yabao with envy.

"By the way, Yabao, why did you rush outside to evolve?"

"Yap yap!" Yabao barked, explaining that he felt the evolution coming and remembered the prediction showed him evolving outside the lava.

Qiao Sang nodded thoughtfully. Meanwhile, a pitch-black bird watched them from a tree before flying away.
