A terrifying purple hurricane swept toward Lubao.

The Venom-Saw Bird opened its beak, unleashing a blinding white beam. It pierced straight through the purple storm, shooting at Lubao!

“Melt!” Qiao Sang’s pupils shrank as she cried out.

Lubao instantly liquefied into water, vanishing from the spot.

Inside the hurricane, dazzling light flared.

The white beam struck nothing.

Even in water form, the Aurora Veil’s effect remained… Watching the prismatic glow within the storm, Qiao Sang quickly understood and secretly exhaled in relief.

With Lubao’s Healing Light, she wasn’t afraid of her collapsing, but the fewer injuries she suffered, the better.

She had considered using Ice Armor for defense, but its mastery wasn’t as high as Aurora Veil’s. In the end, she chose the veil, and thankfully so.

Domain? She said domain? The man froze, suddenly realizing things might be slipping out of his control.

A droplet of water leapt out from the storm.

The moment Lubao had liquefied, she had been swept inside.

Fortunately, the hurricane had weakened, and Aurora Veil was still active.

The storm no longer hindered Lubao’s actions.

The purplish droplet twisted back into Lubao’s form.

“Lu Di.”

Lubao stepped forward with her scarred front paw, and visible frost energy surged from her body.

In an instant, the temperature plummeted. Frost covered the ground.

Meanwhile, the immobilized Venom-Saw Bird suddenly regained wing movement.

“Hack!” The man, having timed it perfectly, shouted the command.

The Venom-Saw Bird had trained its Hyper Beam down to only a 3.5-second recovery time.

In high-level battles, 3.5 seconds wasn’t short but considering the opponent had endured Poison Storm, even if it could still fight, its strength was severely reduced. That was why he dared to use Hyper Beam.

The Venom-Saw Bird spread its wings.

But just as it did, a heavy layer of ice instantly spread across its body, racing over it, and in a heartbeat, the creature became an ice sculpture.

The battlefield transformed into a frozen world.

Lubao lifted her head and roared.

Towering icicles, like small mountains, materialized high above and plummeted toward the Venom-Saw Bird.

The command had barely left his mouth when the colossal icicles smashed down one after another.

Ice Mountains shattered, shards scattering, avalanching down to bury the Venom-Saw Bird entirely within seconds.

When no more icicles fell, the referee’s countdown echoed through the sky: “10, 9, 8, 7… 3, 2, 1. Battle over.”

Qiao Sang let out a long breath of relief.

Honestly, the exam was tougher than she expected, especially with the opponent opening with a combo like Poison Storm.

A hurricane of that scale, unleashed by a King-level beast, was nearly impossible to evade in such a wide arena.

“That move just now, was it Ice Field Domain?” The examiner finally regained his voice after a long pause, staring at the girl in the distance, unable to resist confirming.

As a B-rank Beast Master examiner, his strength was naturally above that level.

Usually, once a candidate proved they met B-rank standards, the examiner would ease up and let them pass.

Yabao and Little Treasure emerged.

Meanwhile, from the purple star array appeared a ten-meter-tall beast, reddish-brown with white and blue tail feathers, thick legs, and massive talons, alongside another, about five meters tall, mostly yellow with purple markings, broad-headed, and crowned with a protrusion.

King-level Skyfighting Eagle. General-level Thundercrash Head… Qiao Sang’s mind recalled their names.

Fire Qilu and Ghost Ring King… The examiner recognized Qiao Sang’s beasts.

A pity. Both were only General-level. Otherwise, her chances of passing would be much higher.

To register as a B-rank Beast Master required 50% brain activation, five beasts, and at least one King-level.

Yet very few passed under those conditions.

Because in both 1v1 and 2v2 tests, the examiner always fielded a King-level.

That’s why some candidates, despite meeting requirements, failed for years or even decades.

The first to attack was Yabao.

The Skyfighting Eagle flapped its wings and soared upward.

The Thundercrash Head crackled with electricity, stomping the ground.

Bolts of lightning erupted from beneath, exploding the earth and racing toward Yabao.

Yabao flickered and vanished, only to reappear behind the Thundercrash Head.

From above, the eagle unleashed countless wind blades, slicing toward Yabao.

But just then, the Thundercrash Head vanished, only to reappear directly above Yabao, right in the path of the wind blades.

Yabao unleashed a golden-red beam straight at the eagle and Thundercrash Head.

At the same time, Little Treasure’s eyes glowed blue, locking the eagle in psychic grip.

“Strike the small one!” The examiner countered.

Thundercrash Head discharged lightning, blasting toward Little Treasure.

Startled, Little Treasure teleported away, releasing his hold.

The eagle flapped hard, soaring higher and evading the beam with ease.

“Dou!”

Ascending rapidly, the eagle tilted its head back and let out a piercing cry.

The skies darkened. Clouds thickened with gloom.

On its back, Thundercrash Head staggered up.

“Thundercrash!”

Electric arcs surged over its body as it roared skyward.

Bolts of yellow lightning concentrated upward.

BOOOOM!

The deafening blast shook the Beast Center skies.

Everyone nearby flinched and looked up.

In the dorms, Mikayla stared out the window toward the storm of golden lightning above the training grounds, her expression grave.

Rain and lightning combo… This storm’s at least at torrential level. With true lightning summoned within the storm, that’s why it’s called Heavenly Thunder…

Qiao Sang gazed at the darkened heavens, heavy rain pouring, thunderclouds and serpentine bolts weaving through the sky. Her expression hardened.

Thunder roared above.

Yabao’s eyes gleamed with growing excitement as he stared upward.

Little Treasure trembled at the terrifying storm, silently teleporting to Yabao’s side.
