She's excited! She's excited!

Qiao Sang's heart was pounding faster, adrenaline flooding through her, her whole body on the verge of boiling over.

She dared say that right now, she was definitely even more excited than Lubao!

Lubao’s next stage of evolution required her to feel excitement in an environment of minus 60 degrees.

Now, the most important part, the excitement, was already there. The location and environment matched what Lubao had once described. All that was missing… was the minus 60-degree weather.

Qiao Sang couldn’t help scanning the surroundings, holding down her racing emotions, brain spinning furiously.

This place didn’t look like it could possibly reach minus 60 degrees. But Lubao had described it as the weather suddenly turning cold.

Natural climate change was out of the question.

That meant, it had to be a pet skill.

Should she just shout out and ask if any of the pets here could create minus 60-degree weather?

But… if she did, would that count as interfering? Would it cause mistakes in the outcome?

Yet if she didn’t try to make it happen, this place didn’t look like it would suddenly turn cold at all. And if Lubao’s excitement faded by then, what would they do?

After all, sometimes emotions flare up only for a fleeting instant, here one second, gone the next.

Especially with someone like Lubao, whose emotions rarely surged so strongly.

Qiao Sang's mind was racing through countless thoughts, leaving her unable to decide.

“Big Boss, did something happen? Why did you suddenly ask if the pet was excited or not?” Yuan Jiewen, still getting no answer, asked nervously.

“Because… generating that kind of excitement is very important for her.” Qiao Sang replied.

Important?

How important?

Could it be more important than leaving this secret realm alive?

Big Boss, come on! The most important thing right now is getting out of here! Yuan Jiewen was shouting inwardly, feeling like he was about to go insane from staying here too long.

No good food, no internet, no sense of day or night, no idea how long had passed, and surrounded by a horde of wild pets that might or might not attack at any moment.

Thinking of this, Yuan Jiewen turned, wanting to exchange a knowing glance with Shellblade Behemoth… only to realize Shellblade Behemoth was gone.

He panicked, but then sensed something. Turning to the river, he saw Shellblade Behemoth happily splashing in the water, playing with the wild pets.

Yuan Jiewen: …

Generating excitement… very important… Qiao Sang's words made Mikayla freeze for a moment, before a sudden thought struck. Her gaze snapped toward Lubao in the water.

No way.

Was Qiao Sang's Ice Aipalu truly excited now?

Didn’t that mean… if the weather hit minus 60, she could evolve?!

No, calm down. Even though Flauda's Snowden message had said Lubao’s energy was fully charged, this species wasn’t supposed to be so easily stirred.

Besides, the Ice Aipalu had been eating fruit nonstop, purifying the river, and healing others with her skills. She hadn’t really rested.

In that condition, not just an Ice Aipalu, but any pet should’ve been far too exhausted to feel much of anything.

Sure, Ice Aipalu looked happy now, probably influenced by the joy of the water pets around her. But even if that stirred up some excitement, could it really be enough to push her into evolution?

Mikayla wanted to calm herself, but she couldn’t. She hurried over and asked: “Your Ice Aipalu, did she just get excited?”

Qiao Sang was too focused on Lubao to notice the change in her client's tone. She simply nodded and hummed an absent “Mm,” still deep in thought.

Her client's eyes went wide.

Ice Aipalu was truly excited?!

Then… if they could just get minus 60-degree weather…

She almost wanted to make it happen right then and there.

This kind of emotional trigger was rare for the species. Even a little spark of excitement deserved to be tested for evolution.

But then reality hit: She had no Ice-type pet.

While she hesitated, a few of the recently restored people walked up.

“Thank you for saving us.” One of the men said gratefully.

Earlier, the one who’d stayed conscious during their corruption had already explained the situation to them.

Qiao Sang turned suddenly and asked: “Do you have a pet that can drop the weather to minus 60 degrees?”

She had thought it through.

Even if foresight risked causing changes and butterfly effects, if not for Adinishi’s prediction, she wouldn’t even be here in the Central Hollow, wouldn’t have taken this mission into Secret Realm 88, wouldn’t have run into all this.

Maybe Adinishi’s prediction had always assumed she knew what was predicted.

The grateful man froze, then shook his head.

“No.”

Suddenly, another spoke up: “What about minus ten? My pet can make it snow, but only down to about minus ten degrees for a short time.”

He didn’t even ask why.

Qiao Sang looked at him, recognized him by his features. Liu Bo, her mission target.

After a moment’s thought, she nodded.

“That works. Please.”

Without hesitation, Liu Bo formed seals with his hands.

“My pet can use Ice Beam. Combined with his snow, maybe we can push the temperature even lower.” Said another.

“If you need it, I’ll summon it right now.”

“Good.” Qiao Sang eyes glimmered with gratitude as she nodded.

“And me! I’ve got an Ice pet too, it’s only a beginner, but still…”

“I don’t have Ice, but I’ve got a Water pet that can make it rain!”

None of them asked why. One after another, they summoned their pets.

Soon, snow began to fall.

A thin layer of frost glazed the ground.

The temperature dropped fast.

“Xun xun…”

Little Treasure shivered, dug into his ring, pulled out a black cloak, and wrapped it tightly around himself.

The wild pets, who had been playing happily, now stared curiously at the sudden snowfall and all the Ice and Water skills being cast.

Qiao Sang drew a deep breath and shouted: “I need minus 60 degrees! Who here has weather-changing skills that can make it colder? Please, help now!”

The wild pets looked at each other, confused.

Yuan Jiewen stared blankly, having no idea what the boss was even trying to do.

“Armor!”

The Water Carapace Warrior had stopped crying at some point. Now restored to his full imposing presence, he lifted his head and roared.

At once, the sunlight vanished. Darkness fell again.

A thunderclap split the air overhead.

Then a bone-chilling downpour came crashing down.

The wild pets raised their heads and called out.

Snowfall.

Blizzards.

Ice Mist.

Torrential Rain.

Frozen Seal.

Cold Winds.

Hail.

Rain Prayer.

Icy Breath…

Every possible weather-skill stacked together.

In moments, the temperature plummeted to extremes.

Holy crap… what’s even happening…? Whatever, forget it. Yuan Jiewen glanced at Shellblade Behemoth and gave him a nod.

“Shellblade!”

Shellblade Behemoth, receiving its master’s signal, let out a call.

Another heavy rain fell.

Lubao, seeing it, instinctively tried to gather what little energy she had left, wanting to help.

But her master's voice rang out: “Take off the Stone!”

“Lu Ai…”

Lubao froze, stunned.

She looked at Qiao Sang's excited face, then at the many wild pets all casting their skills. Suddenly, she realized what was happening. Her body trembled, tears of excitement flashing in her eyes.

“Lu Ai!”

Lubao lowered her head and bit through the string around her neck.

Clack! The stone fell, striking the already frozen river surface.

At that moment, Lubao’s whole body burst into brilliant white light.
