To become a higher-ranked professional beast master, aside from talent, personal effort, and the effort of one’s contracted beasts, the most important factor is resources.

And the Imperial Beast University, which gathers top talents from all walks of life, naturally possesses absolute resources.

As long as one remains a student of the Imperial Class, and as long as one fights for it, resources will never be in short supply.

That is the absolute advantage.

Seeing that Qiao Sang already seemed to have understood, Dean Theresa turned to Mikayla and said: “From here on, I’ll trouble you with her.”

Mikayla stood up, her expression serious.

“I’ll make sure to teach Student Qiao Sang well.”

“Goodbye, Dean.” Qiao Sang said.

Theresa smiled, nodding slightly.

“I look forward to your future performance.”

Mikayla walked out of the pavilion.

Qiao Sang turned to follow, but then she suddenly thought of something, stopped, and said a little awkwardly: “Dean, I wanted to ask, when will my points be credited?”

Dean Theresa paused, then smiled.

“Your points were already credited on the day you reported in.”

Qiao Sang: !!!

---

She, someone who had ten thousand points to her name, had actually said she couldn’t afford a 5-point meal fee at the time…

On the way back, Qiao Sang immediately messaged the food truck owner for his campus account and transferred him 5 points.

[Junior, you’re amazing. First day of school and you’ve already earned 5 points.] The owner replied.

Not 5 points, but ten thousand… Qiao Sang resisted the urge to correct him.

Mikayla led the way to a white building.

They passed a fountain and entered the hall.

Along the walls were pieces of equipment Qiao Sang had never seen before.

Suddenly, a mechanical-type beast with exposed gears in its belly, gears visibly turning, walked over from the cluttered area.

“This beast is called a Gear Doggy. It’s a mechanical-type beast independently developed by our University's Mechanical Department. You won’t find it outside.” Mikayla explained.

“It can quickly and conveniently test a human’s brain domain and physical condition.”

“But its combat ability is poor, and if it’s damaged, it takes a lot of effort to repair. The cost is high, so it’s not suitable for mass production.”

Qiao Sang thought for a moment.

“How quick and convenient are we talking?”

There were already plenty of machines on the market that could test brain domain and physical status. She didn’t think the Mechanical Department would make something without improvement.

The mechanical beast that had delivered her admission letter back then had already shocked her once.

“Dodo.”

Before Mikayla could answer, the Gear Doggy called out.

It extended a mechanical finger and touched Qiao Sang’s forehead.

Its exposed gears suddenly spun faster.

“Dodo.”

A cool sensation spread across her forehead. Before she could react, the Gear Doggy withdrew its finger and gave another call.

One of its jewel-like red eyes turned green, while the other displayed the number “49%.”

That’s it? Qiao Sang glanced at its eyes, then looked to Mikayla for answers.

The honored professor of the Imperial Beast University was staring at the number in the Gear Doggy’s eye, shock and disbelief written on her face.

After several seconds, Mikayla turned to Qiao Sang, then back to the Gear Doggy, and said in a barely restrained voice: “Test her again!”

“Dodo.”

Its eyes returned to red, and it touched her forehead again.

The gears spun faster.

When it withdrew, one eye turned green, the other showed “49%.”

“49%. It’s really 49%.” Mikayla looked at Qiao Sang with an odd gaze.

“Your brain domain has reached 49%.”

“I saw.”

That eye was huge and the numbers were clear, of course she saw it.

She sighed.

“So it really is that convenient.”

Qiao Sang had guessed the numbers were brain domain percentages, and Mikayla’s reaction confirmed it.

She had tried many testing devices before, but none could match this, just a touch and in one or two seconds, the results were ready.

No wonder the University made such a beast…

Wait, 49%! That’s 49% brain domain! Why are you so calm?! Mikayla wanted to grab Qiao Sang by the shoulders and shake her.

She had faced many extraordinary situations before, even sudden appearances of Emperor-level wild beasts from secret realm fissures, without panic.

But an underage student with 49% brain domain, this was rarer than legendary beasts appearing!

“Yap!”

Yabao jumped from Qiao Sang’s arms, circling the Gear Doggy with Little Treasure.

A Fire Qilu that awakened a super-tier skill at the General-level… Mikayla’s shock eased.

Right, this girl was abnormal from the start, or she wouldn’t be in the Imperial Class with the dean personally calling her back for training.

Mikayla took a deep breath, calming herself.

“Did you know your brain domain was already 49%?”

Qiao Sang shook her head.

“No.”

“Then why aren’t you reacting at all?”

Qiao Sang blinked.

“Isn’t 50% the real threshold for beast masters?”

Mikayla went silent.

After a few seconds, she said: “Even if you hit 50% soon, don’t relax. For professional beast masters, that’s only the beginning.”

She was exaggerating a bit, but 50% truly was the gate to a higher level.

In Yuhua Region, even a B-rank beast master with 50% brain domain was considered a big figure. But to Mikayla, it was just the start…

“I understand.”

Qiao Sang said, then asked, “By the way, what does the green eye mean?”

“It means you’re healthy.”

So for physical health, it only shows healthy or unhealthy? Qiao Sang glanced back at the Gear Doggy.

“Dodo…”

The beast stiffened, looking dejected, and walked back toward the equipment pile.

“Yap…”

“Xun xun…”

Yabao and Little Treasure looked disappointed.

“What’s wrong with it?”

“Probably just going back after finishing its job.” Mikayla replied absentmindedly.

Qiao Sang didn’t notice that the Gear Doggy’s steps became lighter as it walked away.

“Your brain domain is tested. Now let’s see where your next opportunity lies.”

Mikayla formed hand seals.

A huge golden star array lit up, covering nearly the whole hall.

The air stirred without wind.

Holy crap, that’s an S-rank beast master’s star array… Qiao Sang felt her eyes burn from the brightness.

Soon, a small beast appeared, about one meter tall, with sea-green curls, yellow star hairpins at its temples, a big head, small lower body, wide palms, and a light-blue miniature shrink band.

“This is a Fate Sprite. It can sense where your opportunities will be in the near future.” Mikayla explained.

“Yuan~” The sprite greeted.

A rare beast… Qiao Sang had read about them in the University library.

Any beast tied to fate or divination was essentially priceless.

Many beast masters, when stuck in their growth, would seek such beasts for guidance.

“Xun xun~”

Little Treasure floated around the sprite, staring at its star hairpins.

“What should I do?” Qiao Sang asked.

“Nothing. Just stand still.”

She stood straight, hands at her sides.

“Help her test.” Mikayla told the sprite.

It placed its wide palm over her hand and closed its eyes.

Invisible ripples spread from its palm like water waves over her body.

Little Treasure crept closer, paw reaching for a star hairpin-

But the sprite opened its eyes.

Little Treasure quickly withdrew his paw, pretending nothing happened.

The sprite gave him a look, then put its palms together and breathed out a stream of blue mist.

The mist didn’t scatter, but swirled and condensed into an irregular pattern.

Mikayla frowned, deep in thought.

After a moment, she relaxed and said: “Your opportunity is in the Dragon Nation.”

Dragon Nation? Qiao Sang looked at the pattern, she instantly recognized it as the map of Dragon Nation.

She fully believed the sprite’s reading.

After all, several of Adinishi’s predicted locations were also there.

“That’s fine.” Mikayla continued.

“I’ve heard the regional tournaments there are famous. Many renowned beast masters have competed, including your country’s Lin Ya, who first made a name there.”

“I recall you need to be at least C-rank to register. You qualify. Once we arrive, you should participate.”

She then asked, “Which region are you from?”

“Yuhua Region.”

“Then we’ll sign up for Yuhua’s-”

“Teacher, I want to enter the Hollow Central Region tournament.”

Adinishi’s predictions for Yabao, the others, and herself were all in Hollow Central.

And Qiao Sang had the key to the 16th exclusive secret realm there.

If she didn’t go, her 900-million bid for the Qingqingni Compass would be wasted.

Mikayla thought for a moment, then nodded.

“Alright.”

“To me, it makes no difference which region you compete in.”

“Since the location’s decided, we’ll leave tonight.” Mikayla said decisively.

“Tonight? That soon?”

“When there’s a decision, we act immediately. You have only seventy-some years to hone yourself, you can’t waste a second.

“…Only seventy-some years…”

That didn’t sound right to her.

Qiao Sang hesitated.

“Speak.” Mikayla said.

“You asked for it… Teacher, how old are you?”

A pause.

“Let’s just say I’m older than anyone in your family.”

Then Mikayla changed the topic smoothly: “Go pack. I’ll handle the tickets.”

“But I want the Breeding Department teachers to check Yabao and the others, and make some energy pills.” Qiao Sang said.

She hadn’t forgotten, the University promised all future energy pills for her beasts would be free.

Who knew how long they’d be gone in Hollow Central?
