Sleeping on the street… Qiao Sang was silent for a few seconds before saying, “…Alright then.”

Although she’d never imagined she’d be sleeping on the ground in public before coming here, Pirite was right.

Their main goal here was to find Adinishi.

Wasting too much time on accommodations wasn’t wise…

Seeing that Qiao Sang had no objections, Pirite immediately said, “Then let’s store our luggage here for now and set off right away.”

Qiao Sang paused again before suggesting, “How about you put your luggage in Little Treasure's storage ring too?”

“Xun Xun~”

Hearing his master’s words, Little Treasure appeared.

Traveling with a pet beast that had storage abilities was indeed very convenient.

Pirite didn’t refuse. He took off his backpack and handed it over: “Then I’ll trouble you.”

“Xun Xun~”

Little Treasure accepted it and stowed it in the ring.

“What’s our plan now?” Qiao Sang asked.

Pirite walked out of the Beast Tamer Center and said, “Find places where music events are happening.”

Qiao Sang started to get the picture: “Adinishi likes music?”

Pirite nodded slightly: “That’s right. Adinishi always carries a flute and loves playing it. According to past records, it tends to appear near places with music.”

Looking at the cautious pedestrians and the wild pet beasts running around the streets, Qiao Sang frowned in confusion: “If it likes music, why would it show up in 30th District?”

This place was in constant chaos, there shouldn’t be many organized music events here.

“Adinishi awakens once every hundred years. It probably just woke up and happened to be in this area. That’s why we need to find it quickly. Otherwise, it might leave 30th District soon.” Pirite explained.

After speaking, he mounted Famu Moth.

So that’s how it is…

Qiao Sang mounted the now-enlarged Gangbao, and the two quickly ascended into the sky.

Not long after they left, a giant bird-type pet beast clad in armor descended from the sky.

Several well-dressed young men and an old man dismounted from the bird and entered the Beast Tamer Center.

“Two suites.” The slightly chubby, round-faced young man requested at the front desk.

“I’m sorry, sir, but we’re fully booked.” The staff apologized.

The white-haired old man silently took out a red Beast Tamer badge and placed it on the counter.

The staff’s expression shifted slightly. He checked the badge and then respectfully said, “Please wait a moment. We’ll prepare your rooms immediately.”

The surrounding onlookers gave these obviously out-of-place visitors complex looks.

“Didn’t they just say there were no rooms? Why do they have one now?”

A teenage boy asked.

His elder, seemingly his guardian, lowered her voice and said, “Did you see that badge? That’s an A-Rank Professional Beast Tamer’s badge. Beast Tamers of that rank have special privileges at Beast Tamer Centers.”

The boy stared at the still-visible red badge, his eyes filled with longing.

---

In the sky.

Qiao Sang checked her phone for a long time before sighing: “I looked it up. There haven’t been any concerts or music events in 30th District lately.”

Pirite turned to her with a smile: “But there are plenty of bars in 30th District.”

Bars…

Qiao Sang’s mind lit up.

True, bars always had music playing.

Some even had live singers.

By now, the sky was darkening, and the neon lights on the streets had started to shine.

Qiao Sang checked the time and said, “At this hour, some bars should already be open.”

Pausing for a moment, she suggested, “There are too many bars to check them all one by one. Should we pick the ones with the best music first?”

“The bar we’re headed to right now is known for its great music.” Pirite replied.

Hearing that, Qiao Sang couldn’t help feeling impressed.

She’d misjudged Teacher Pirite.

Though he was a free spirit, he still had a solid plan.

Soon, the two arrived at a building bathed in dazzling neon lights.

Soothing pet beast singing played at the entrance.

Various wild pet beasts roamed the area.

Strangely, none of them seemed hostile toward the entering guests.

Some even bobbed their heads along to the music.

Having learned a lot recently, Qiao Sang immediately recognized that the music playing at the entrance had a calming effect, similar to Lubao’s healing soundwaves.

No wonder these shops could operate normally despite so many wild pet beasts around…

Qiao Sang thought to herself.

The security guards at the entrance weren’t too strict with their checks.

If you didn’t have a pet beast, they just checked whether your ID showed you were of legal age.

If you had pet beasts with you and were clearly a Beast Tamer, they let you in without question.

With Yabao in her arms and Gangbao by her side, the security didn’t even ask Qiao Sang for her ID.

The two of them entered the bar and sat at the counter.

“Want a drink?” The bartender asked.

“Two non-alcoholic drinks.” Pirite ordered.

Coming to a bar and not drinking alcohol…

The bartender complained silently but remained polite: “What would you like?”

“Anything’s fine, as long as it tastes good.”

Pirite’s gaze wandered around the surrounding pet beasts as he spoke.

Soon, the bartender served two glasses of blue-colored drinks.

“Xun Xun~”

Little Treasure appeared, blinking his big eyes at his master.

One look at Little Treasure’s expression, and Qiao Sang immediately knew what he wanted.

She slid her drink over to him: “Go ahead and drink it.”

“Xun Xun!”

Little Treasure excitedly picked up the glass and took a sip.

Qiao Sang glanced around.

Yabao and Gangbao kept turning their heads, curiously watching the other pet beasts.

Lubao poked her head halfway out of the backpack, staring at the unfamiliar pet beasts passing by.

Before coming here, Qiao Sang had shown them pictures of Adinishi and told them to keep an eye out.

Upbeat rock music was playing.

A big-mouthed, nearly all-blue pet beast wearing black sunglasses and dressed in rock attire was passionately singing into a microphone on stage.

Qiao Sang watched for a while but didn’t spot Adinishi anywhere.

She muttered, “Should we try another bar? The music here isn’t really that good…”

Because of the noisy environment, Qiao Sang instinctively raised her voice.

At that very moment, the song ended.

Though the bar was still filled with people chatting and drinking, the big-mouthed pet beast on stage seemed to have heard her perfectly and locked its gaze right onto her.

“Yin Yin!”

It ripped off its sunglasses, its expression furious.

Hearing the commotion, Qiao Sang looked up, only to meet the angry gaze of the big-mouthed pet beast.

…Huh? Why’s it staring at me like that?

Before Qiao Sang could process it, the pet beast seemed to feel deeply insulted.

It hurled its microphone to the ground, producing an ear-piercing noise, and stormed off in rage.

The people who had been chatting and drinking fell silent, looking around in confusion.

Qiao Sang: ???

What just happened?

Pirite glanced at her and explained: “That’s a Yin Yin Beast. Its body has structures that allow it to produce all sorts of sounds. It loves singing and has excellent hearing. It probably heard your comment just now.”

Qiao Sang: ……

---

Where there’s one bar, there’s always another nearby.

Ten minutes later, Qiao Sang and Pirite arrived at another music bar.

There was still a pet beast performing on stage.

Although there were many wild pet beasts in 30th District, quite a few bold locals took the chance to collaborate with those that were friendly and easy to communicate with.

As a result, it wasn’t unusual to see wild pet beasts frequenting entertainment venues.

The pet beast on stage was mostly brown, with its belly resembling a guitar’s strings.

It strummed the strings on its belly while singing passionately into a microphone.

It was Qiao Sang’s first time seeing such a self-accompanied singing pet beast. She couldn’t help but take out her phone to snap a picture.

Pirite took a sip of his drink, glanced at the performing pet beast, and said, “That’s a Xianpa Armor Beast. It can play music with its own body, but its hearing is normal.

It shouldn’t be able to hear you talking in this kind of environment.”

Qiao Sang: ……

“It actually sings quite well.” Qiao Sang commented.

Pirite simply smiled and continued observing the surrounding pet beasts.

Qiao Sang put down her phone and focused on watching too.

“Xian Xian!”

Suddenly, a larger Xianpa Armor Beast kicked open the door and barged in.

The customers, startled, let out cries of alarm.

“Xian Xian!”

The bigger Xianpa Armor Beast strode straight to the stage and grabbed the singing Xianpa Armor Beast.

“Xian Xian!”

The smaller one struggled, but couldn’t break free at all.

Seeing that the smaller beast was about to be dragged away, a staff member finally gathered their courage and stepped forward: “Um…”

The bigger beast opened its mouth without hesitation.

A white energy wave began to gather in its throat.

The terrified staff member quickly dodged out of the way.

“Xian Xian!”

The bigger beast retracted the energy, letting out a grunt that clearly meant, Smart choice.

Then, it dragged the smaller Xianpa Armor Beast out of the bar.

Qiao Sang sat there, mouth slightly open, stunned by what she’d just witnessed.

The bar manager then went on stage and apologized: “Sorry, everyone. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, there won’t be any more live performances tonight…”

Pirite stood up helplessly: “Let’s go.”

Qiao Sang finally snapped back to her senses.

What the heck was all that?!
