No special item to locate it, and with just a rumor about its appearance in 30th District, she was supposed to find the phantom beast?

Qiao Sang instantly lost all desire to head to 30th District.

Though she understood that simply confirming the phantom beast’s presence in a particular area was already quite difficult, she had far too many other matters to deal with at the moment.

Even if she miraculously stumbled upon it, at best she’d just snap a photo, show it off on her social feed, maybe boast a bit when chatting with others, and have a story to reminisce about when she got older.

Honestly, that didn’t sound too bad, but only if she actually encountered the phantom beast.

Realistically speaking, with nothing but a vague rumor about 30th District, her chances of seeing the phantom beast were less than 1%.

Thinking logically, Qiao Sang opened her search engine and typed in “Adinishi.”

This pet beast wasn’t mentioned in any of the rare pet beast reference books she had read, which piqued her curiosity.

Soon, information about “Adinishi” appeared on the screen.

[Adinishi, a phantom beast, possesses powerful foresight abilities. The flute it carries can produce heavenly music, and it's said that the sound of its flute can help pet beasts foresee the exact location of their next evolution.]

[According to rumors, there was once a beast master whose pet had reached its species' evolutionary limit. However, after hearing Adinishi’s flute, the pet foresaw a location, and the beast master found that place, staying there for years. In the twenty-first year, that pet broke its species' limit and successfully evolved.]

[However, Adinishi’s flute also has offensive and hypnotic effects, so one can’t be certain that the flute’s sound is giving a foresight effect. Therefore, don’t get too excited just because you hear its flute.]

Foreseeing a pet’s next evolution location… Qiao Sang froze for a moment, then felt her heartbeat quicken uncontrollably.

This effect was somewhat similar to the Dream Enlightenment Stone she had exchanged for back at Sainan High School, but clearly much stronger.

The Dream Enlightenment Stone only predicted a more suitable evolutionary form, while Adinishi’s flute could directly predict the location of evolution.

That meant the desired evolutionary form had already been determined beforehand, and as long as the pet reached that place and stayed there, evolution would eventually happen, after all, even pets that had reached their species' limits could evolve again after finding the right spot.

Of course, this was just a rumor and might not be true, but even if there was only a 1% chance, it was still incredibly tempting.

Aside from Little Treasure, both Yabao and Gangbao had unknown evolutionary paths and forms, so predicting the location of their evolutions would be extremely helpful.

And if Lubao received a prediction, it would mean she could definitely experience strong enough emotions at that place to trigger evolution!

Maybe she should go to 30th District and try…

What if she actually ran into Adinishi? Qiao Sang turned off her phone, trying to calm herself down.

She still needed to consult with Teacher Pirite first.

30th District was far too dangerous. Even if she got lucky and found Adinishi, it wouldn’t necessarily play its foresight flute.

Only if Teacher Pirite agreed to go with her would it be feasible. With his abilities, their chances of finding Adinishi, or even persuading it to play the flute, would increase significantly.

Qiao Sang was itching to call him immediately, but then remembered it was already past midnight and gave up the idea.

---

The Next Day.

After waking up, washing up, and finishing breakfast, Qiao Sang used Little Treasure’s spatial shift ability to arrive at her classroom.

After the first class ended, she decided it was about the right time, and hurried to a quiet spot in the hallway to make a call to Teacher Pirite.

After two rings, the call connected.

Pirite’s slightly drowsy voice came through the speaker, “Hello? Why are you calling me so early?”

Wow, still in bed, lazybones… Qiao Sang silently mocked him, then went straight to the point:

“Yesterday, Dean Virginia of the Pet Journalism Department contacted me and said the phantom beast Adinishi appeared in 30th District. I want to go.”

Silence followed on the other end of the line before a confused voice asked, “What did you say appeared?”

“Phantom beast Adinishi.” Qiao Sang replied.

Phantom beast Adinishi?!

Pirite, who had been lying in bed, instantly snapped awake and sat bolt upright, asking urgently, “Are you serious?!”

He clearly remembered that Adinishi could foresee the exact location of a pet’s next evolution!

“It was Dean Virginia from the Pet Journalism Department who told me, so it should be reliable.” Qiao Sang said.

“Would you like to come with me?”

Dean Virginia of Yulianton University… If it was her, then the information could indeed be credible… These Yulianton folks really hadn’t given up trying to recruit Qiao Sang yet… Pirite took a deep breath, suppressing his excitement, and firmly replied: “Of course we’re going, and right away!”

After a pause, he added, “Pack your things, take leave immediately! I’ll come pick you up!”

Then, click, he hung up.

Qiao Sang: …

Why does he sound even more excited than I am…

Just as that thought crossed her mind, Qiao Sang immediately understood why.

Adinishi’s flute didn’t only affect her pets, it worked on all pet beasts. As a professional beast master, of course Teacher Pirite also wanted to know his pets’ future evolution locations…

---

Since she’d already taken leave once before, Qiao Sang had no problem doing it again.

She was a student of the Imperial Beast University, no matter how displeased Yulianton’s teachers might be about her frequent leaves, it wasn’t a big deal.

And surprisingly, getting approval this time went smoothly.

Once her leave was approved, Qiao Sang used Little Treasure’s spatial shift to return to her villa. She packed her toiletries and clothes, then handed them to Little Treasure.

“Keep these items in a separate place, so they’re easy to find later.” Qiao Sang instructed.

“Xun Xun~” Little Treasure chirped in acknowledgment as he placed the clothes into his storage ring.

After finishing all the packing, Qiao Sang suddenly remembered something. She picked up her phone and called the Vice Principal.

The call quickly connected.

“Hello?” The Vice Principal’s voice came through.

“Vice Principal, the phantom beast Adinishi appeared in 30th District. I’m planning to go. Do you want to join?” Qiao Sang asked.

“Adinishi?” Liu Yao sounded puzzled.

Hearing that tone, Qiao Sang cleared her throat and explained, “It’s said to be able to predict the exact location of a pet’s next evolution.

Didn’t expect I’d have to explain this to the Vice Principal, haha…

Liu Yao was quiet for a moment but didn’t sound particularly excited.

“Phantom beasts aren’t something you can just find by looking for them.”

“I just want to try my luck. You never know.” Qiao Sang said with a laugh.

“Is Teacher Pirite going too?” Liu Yao asked.

Qiao Sang replied with an “Mm.”

“As long as Teacher Pirite is going with you, I can rest easy.”

Liu Yao said, “I’ll sit this one out. I have other things to take care of here.”

Compared to chasing a phantom beast he had little hope of seeing, he preferred staying behind to continue discussions with breeders from 1st District about Chaosu Star's breeding plans and learning new techniques.

“Alright then.” Qiao Sang didn’t push it.

Looks like the Vice Principal didn’t think she’d find Adinishi either…

Well, that is the normal way of thinking…

After hanging up, Qiao Sang waited for about ten minutes before the doorbell rang.

She opened the door.

Pirite was standing there, eyes shining with excitement, “Ready? Let’s go! I’ve already bought the tickets to 30th District!”

---

Yulianton University, Department of Pet Journalism.

In a spacious, luxurious office, a blonde young man was reporting, “Qiao Sang has already taken leave and departed for 30th District.”

Virginia leaned back on the sofa, replying indifferently, “Good. I know.”

The blonde man hesitated, then asked, “Why did you deliberately tell her this news?”

Virginia replied calmly, “You already know her performance at the Beast Tamer Star Tournament. I can’t be sure whether she’ll still remember her promise to collaborate with me when she competes in the Interstellar Cup in the future.”

She picked up the coffee cup on the table and continued, “Besides, how often do we receive news about these so-called legendary pet beasts? And how many people have actually seen them?”

“Even if Qiao Sang really encounters it, that’s fine. If she does, it’ll only strengthen her memory of our collaboration.”

“Then why did you hide this news from everyone else?” The blonde man asked in confusion.

Virginia glanced at him, sipping her coffee slowly as she answered: “The fewer people who go, the more valuable the news becomes.”

Lesson learned… The blonde man respectfully withdrew.

Even a mere rumor about a phantom beast was enough to drive people mad.

However, even though the Department of Pet Journalism had deliberately kept this from others, there were surely plenty of people in the upper districts who specialized in gathering such intelligence.

30th District was about to get lively…
