Qiao Sang agreed without much thought.

Training alone could be dull and unengaging for pet beasts. But with two pet beasts working together, training could become fun, providing great motivation for those that struggled to stay focused.

While Yabao didn’t lack enthusiasm for training, Little Treasure did…

Lately, every time Little Treasure returned home, he would float around the virtual helmet with longing eyes, almost as desperate as a newborn craving milk.

By helping Yabao train his resistance to dizziness, Little Treasure could not only improve his psychic control but also get distracted from the virtual helmet, a win-win situation.

“Yap!”

Yabao nodded at Little Treasure, encouraging him to spin as hard as he could.

In his mind, he envisioned himself looking much cooler than that pink pet beast in the video, especially when he struck his final pose, which he had already decided on.

“To start, maybe keep the speed a bit slower.” Qiao Sang suggested as she watched.

Yabao gave a look as if to say it was no big deal.

“Yap yap!”

It’s just spinning in circles, how hard could it be?

“Xun xun~”

Little Treasure nodded in agreement. Just spinning in circles, surely easy for Brother Yabao.

“Alright, you two go ahead. Take a break if you get tired.” Qiao Sang then picked up her phone from the coffee table, sat on the couch, and logged into her forum account.

After some hesitation, she opened the private message screen with Clear Skies When School Collapses.

If the person was right and Crowned Meow ran away because it didn’t want to practice fart attacks, she supposed she was 0.05% responsible.

It was best to ask if Crowned Meow had come home yet, just for peace of mind.

She swore it wasn’t because she wanted to know if there was still hope for the one million reward.

As Qiao Sang scrolled through the forum, Little Treasure looked at Yabao with excitement in his eyes.

“Xun!”

Let’s begin!

“Yap!”

Yabao nodded. Bring it on!

Little Treasure extended two stubby fingers, channeling energy within. Yabao began to spin under his psychic control.

At first, the pace was slow, with Yabao looking entirely at ease.

“Yap.”

After only a couple of spins, Yabao called to Little Treasure to pick up the speed.

“Xun~”

Little Treasure, nodding as if this was expected, suddenly increased the energy output. A bright blue glow surged around him, even lighting up his eyes and body.

“YAP!”

Yabao’s vision blurred, and his mind buzzed with a whom sound, prompting an instinctive wail.

Qiao Sang, startled by the cry, looked up.

She saw Yabao spinning at such speed that he was now just a blur of white and red.

Qiao Sang hesitated.

“Little Treasure, maybe slow down a bit? I think Yabao’s reaching his limit.”

Little Treasure, panting heavily with trembling fingers, pushed on.

As a low-level pet beast, his energy reserves were limited despite his well-practiced psychic abilities. Pushing his abilities to the extreme like this quickly drained his energy.

“Xun…” Little Treasure’s eyes glimmered with confidence and trust in Yabao.

It’s just spinning in circles, there’s no way Brother Yabao can’t handle it!

Indeed, Yabao could likely endure the spinning with his sheer willpower, but the speed was insane. His head was now a blur...

In the end, Qiao Sang couldn’t help but ask, “Yabao, isn’t this too fast?”

“Ya…yap…”

Yabao’s voice stretched into an echo, resonating through the living room as he spun.

I…can…do it…

Yabao wanted to cry. How could he admit defeat when his little brother believed in him so much?

Reassured, Qiao Sang resumed typing.

I just saw your message, did you find Crowned Meow?

After making sure the message was okay, she hit send.

A large red exclamation mark appeared.

Sending failed.

Qiao Sang remembered she had blocked the user. She was about to unblock them.

“Xun!!”

Suddenly, Little Treasure’s cry startled her, making her look up again.

She saw Yabao swaying, his eyes filled with dizzy stars.

Three seconds later.

Thud.

He collapsed.

Qiao Sang: …!

---

At 7:02 PM.

Qiao Sang, with Little Treasure on her head, set off on Yabao’s back to the nearest mall.

Yabao trudged along, looking utterly defeated.

“No worries, everyone feels like this when they start. We’ll get some freshening potions, so when you get dizzy, you can take one and feel better.” Qiao Sang consoled.

“Xun xun…”

Little Treasure, lying weakly on her head, agreed with a soft cry.

Although he hadn’t used his advanced psychic ability for long, he had drained a lot of energy.

Hearing Qiao Sang and Little Treasure’s comforting words, Yabao’s spirits lifted once more.

The closest mall to Chang’an Road was five kilometers away on Huanle Street.

Under the neon lights, the mall looked vibrant. In the square’s center near the music fountain, five Lili Ducks wearing bow ties played violins.

With the music’s rhythm, Water Bubble Shrimp leaped out of the fountain, spraying streams of water in varying heights.

It was a bustling scene.

Honestly, since that pet beast marathon, Qiao Sang hadn’t seen this many people in one place...

To keep a low profile, she stored Yabao in the Beast codex in a quiet spot outside the square.

---

Half an hour later.

Qiao Sang walked out of a branded potion store on the third floor with ten bottles of freshening potions, costing her 9,900 alliance coins.

Nearly ten thousand, but she wasn’t worried, with seven figures in her bank account, she could afford it.

On the second floor, she decided to buy three cups of milk tea to enjoy with Yabao and Little Treasure on the way back.

She had just gotten in line when someone tapped her shoulder.

Turning, she saw a fair-skinned girl, excitedly saying, “It’s really you! I thought I had the wrong person!”

Since it hadn’t been long and her memory had improved, Qiao Sang recognized her instantly as the girl who’d had an argument with Shi Gaofeng outside the school gate.

Ah, a social butterfly…

Qiao Sang kept her composure, smiling. “Are you here by yourself?”

“No, I’m here for work.” The girl replied shyly.

“I still have a one-star review on Phantom Water Baby, so I can’t take high-paying, easy tasks. For now, I can only bring it here to work as a model in a clothing store.”

Qiao Sang nodded knowingly. Phantom Water Baby’s transformation trait was popular with students and office workers, as well as with clothing stores.

Some people wanted to buy clothes for friends or family who weren’t with them but weren’t sure of the fit.

Stores with Phantom Water Baby could use a photo and the person’s height and weight to transform, letting customers see options.

Others felt a disconnect between their mirror reflection and reality, so having a Phantom Water Baby in-store could be essential.

However, working at a clothing store was exhausting and didn’t pay well, far from easy work.
